Who are first party Clients?

These are single business owners, some have their signage in their premise.eg Shop owners.

What will the content of my Application be?

  • Your Company name
  • The location of the proposed site
  • The size and type of your signage

Do i pay to another agency after i have paid to risaa

No, you do not. Rivers State Signage and Advertisement Agency (RISAA) is the only Agency set up by Law to regulate all outdoor signage, hoarding and advertisements in Rivers State.

How do i put up adverts on electric /street lights?

This application is only permissible by a Third Party Practitioner.

Write an application for Inspection on your company’s letterhead paper stating the duration, campaign name, and location of your choice and addressing it to:

  • The team goes out to verify if the location is available if Yes, then approval is given and payment is made by the Client.

Do i pay cash at the office?

Who are second (2nd ) Party Clients?

These are Clients that give back to the society e.g Rotary Club. They put up informative, educative and Instructional signs.

Who are Third Party Clients?

These are Practitioners who are in the business of owning “Out of Home Structures’’ (Billboards.) They are APCON Certified (Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria) or have OAAN Membership (Outdoor Advertisers Association of Nigeria).

How do I become a Third Party Practitioner?

To become a third party Practitioner, there are some requirements you must meet:

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIRD PARTY REGISTRATION

  1. Third Party Form
  2. Expression Of Interest
  3. Site Inspection Fee (for a maximum of (3) sites). (Including soil test where necessary)
  4. Administrative Fee
  5. CAC Registration Certificate
  6. Audited Account for 3 years
  7. Tax Clearance for 3 years
  8. Evidence of Current APCON Compliance by One or more Directors of Company.
  9. OAAN membership of one or more Directors of the Company.
  10. Technical Partnership Evidence or Letter of Technical Partnerships.(if any)
  11. Company Profile
  12. HSE Policy for the Prospective Outdoor Site
  13. Evidence of Local Content Consideration(if any)
  14. Local Content Advertising Number
  15. 3 Copies of all Documents Bound as one
  16. Maintenance Plan
  17. Approval/Permit Fee
  18. Annual Registration fee

How do I register as a first party Client?

  • Pay for First Party Registration form.
  • Bring 2 photocopies of Bank Teller and a photo montage of signage(if signage is not existing)
  • Write an application for Inspection on your company’s letterhead paper addressing it to:

Inspection fee -free standing-N15,000.00 and wall sign N10,000.00.

  • Collect First Party Form and Fill.
  • After the Inspection and Upon approval, Give Measurement of each signage and Size(s) to get your annual bill.

What is the cost for my signage?

You will be charged based on the size, type, and location of your signage.

Do i have to make any further payments on registration?

Yes, you will be required to renew your Permit annually (Annual Renewal fee).

This depends on the category you fall under-APCON,OAAN or Indigenous.

  • Write an application for Inspection on your company’s letter head paper attaching your photo montage to it and addressing it to:

When an Inspection is carried out, and approval is given, you will be required to pay an approval fee which covers the yearly rate for your board.
